Front heater for buses – Efficient heating and safe visibility

An efficient heating system in the front section of the vehicle is essential for every driver, especially during the autumn and winter months. The front heater (often called a front box) supplies warm air to the cab and, most importantly, effectively demists and defrosts the large windscreen. At Peterbus.pl, we offer complete heaters, heater cores and fans for buses from VDL Bova, Mercedes-Benz, Setra, MAN, Scania and Solaris.

Construction and components of the front heating system

The front box in a bus is a complex module integrating several key components. At our depot in Podanin, you will find:

  • Heater cores (heat exchangers) – cores through which coolant flows, transferring heat to the cab.

  • Blower motors and fans (24V) – efficient drive units providing the required airflow onto the windscreen and towards the driver's feet.

  • Water valves and actuators – electronically or vacuum-controlled components regulating the flow of hot coolant.

  • Housings and air ducts – components directing the airflow and resistant to high temperatures and deformation.

Common heater faults in coaches

A leaking core, coolant leaks, a noisy fan or a lack of temperature control are signs that servicing is required. We offer:

  • Repair kits and seals – eliminating leaks and the unpleasant smell of glycol in the cab.

  • Blower resistors – responsible for controlling the fan speeds.

  • Cabin filters – keeping the air clean and preventing the windows from fogging up.

Why choose a heater from Peterbus.pl?

Replacing the front heater in a coach is often a labour-intensive process, so it is worth choosing proven components. At Peterbus.pl, we offer both new heater cores and serviceable used heating modules (front boxes) removed from vehicles. Every used part is pressure-tested for leaks, and the fans are tested for electrical operation. We can help you select a heater that fits your Mercedes-Benz Tourismo, Setra or BOVA model perfectly, helping to quickly restore heating performance and full visibility on the road.
