Selecting an FFR control unit – What should you consider?

FFR control units differ in their software versions (flash) and hardware configuration, which are matched to the specific bus model, exhaust emission standard (Euro 3, Euro 4, Euro 5, Euro 6) or type of gearbox.

⚠️ Important tip: To select the correct FFR computer, always compare the manufacturer’s serial numbers—such as MAN catalogue numbers starting with 81.25805-... or 81.25806-...—from the old part, or provide the vehicle’s VIN number. Please also remember that in most cases, after installing a second control unit, it must be programmed, including immobiliser/key assignment and synchronisation with the EDC.
